Policy Committee
The TBARTA Policy Committee is made up of members of the TBARTA Board, with the purpose of providing and advising the full Board on matters involving legislation, the actions of other transportation agencies, which may have an effect on the Authority, the development of administrative policies, rules, and operating procedures, and to perform other duties as assigned by the Board.
The committee meets at the discretion of the Committee Chair, and meetings are open to the public. Meeting dates, times, locations, and agendas are posted online in advance on the TBARTA meetings calendar.
Finance Committee
The TBARTA Finance Committee is made up of members of the TBARTA Board, with purpose of assisting and advising the full Board in the development of its annual budget and budget amendments, funding requests, methods of project financing and to perform other duties as assigned by the Board or Chair.
The committee meets at the discretion of the Committee Chair, and meetings are open to the public. Meeting dates, times, locations, and agendas are posted online in advance on the TBARTA meetings calendar.
Transit Management Committee
The TMC is made up of the region’s transit agency directors, to assist and advise the Board in the review, development and direction of regional transit projects and programs, considerations relating to transportation issues pursuant to state and federal legislation, and to perform other duties as assigned by the Board or Chair.
The mission of the Transit Management Committee is to:
- Serve as an advisory body to the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transit Authority
- Establish a liaison between the Authority Board and local transit agencies
- Provide technical assistance regarding the development and implementation of a multimodal transportation plan
Citizens Advisory Committee
The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is made up of residents and business persons from around the region. Members are appointed by the TBARTA Board and volunteer their time to advise the Board on a range of issues that affect TBARTA and the region. The appointment is for a two-year term, with an opportunity for reappointment thereafter.
