Commuter Services: Emergency Ride Home
Emergency Ride Home (ERH) is your commuter’s get-home guarantee, for both employees and college students. If you commute using means other than driving alone at least two times a week, you can you can get up to four (4) FREE* taxi rides home from work or school.
*Up to $100 per ride, restrictions apply.
The Emergency Ride Home program covers many unforeseen circumstances:
- Personal or family emergency
- Unscheduled overtime
- Carpool/Vanpool partners have an emergency
Once registered, you will receive information on how to use the program, along with your first ERH voucher. All you need for your ERH trip home is the completed voucher and picture identification. You can use the program up for four times each year. Taxi fare up to $100 is paid. ERH does not cover any tip or gratuity, that is paid by the individual.

The Emergency Ride Home program is available for college students who commute to school other than driving alone at least two days a week. To be eligible the student must be at least 18 years or older, using a commute option such as carpool, vanpool, bus, bike or walk at least two days a week to get to campus.
Once registered you will receive the Emergency Ride Home student program packet with information on how to use the program, as well as your first taxi voucher.
