Trans Hernando

 

Trans Hernando, a service of Mid Florida Community Services, is Hernando County's designated Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC), providing safe, efficient, cost effective and quality transportation services for transportation disadvantaged citizens of Hernando County. Trans Hernando has been providing transportation services in Hernando County since 1978, and has been the designated CTC in the county since 2000.

Trans Hernando provides door-to-door transportation services primarily to meet medical and nutritional needs, and provides access to shopping; however, trips to banks, hairdressers, hospital/nursing homes, etc., may also be provided when seating is available.

TD Tampa Bay County-to-County Service

 

TD Tampa Bay service complements Trans Hernando service, providing transportation options to Hernando residents when Trans Hernando service is not available.  This includes county-to-county transportation (trips that originate in Hernando with a destination in any of the other four TBARTA region counties of Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Manatee) anytime during TD Tampa Bay's service hours:

  • Monday through Friday:  5 a.m. - 10 p.m. 
  • Saturday and Sunday:  7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. 

TD Tampa Bay In-County Service

 

In addition, TD Tampa Bay provides in-county transportation to Hernando residents on evenings and weekends when Trans Hernando is not operating.  Those additional, in-county service hours, for transportation disadvantaged eligible riders in Hernando County are: 

  • Monday through Friday:  3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday:  7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
